It’s no secret, when it comes to custom printed hats and logo baseball caps the Promo Peddler has the biggest selection around. They have these great cheap embroidered baseball caps for under $5.00 ea. It’s the best price I have been able to find online. I got a sample from them, and the quality of this baseball hat was much better than I expected. My hats off to the promo peddler, best promotional hat selection, and the best prices! I use them all the time when making a new hat with a custom printed slogan or logo to sell in my store.
Hats have been a fashion accessory adored by men and women alike for maybe forever.Even primates like hats, suggesting that hats and humans co-evolved over the course of millions of years.Maybe they were brought to Earth by aliens, but we’ll never know for sure until the Large Hadron Collider destroys us with wormholes.
We’ve been squeezing our noggins into hats made of everything for just about any reason imaginable, and there’s no stopping us now.Visors, headbands, ski caps, baseball caps, bucket hats, and even bandanas. They’re official pieces of uniforms in sports steeping in tradition like baseball and golf.Caps are pretty much the official uniform of truckers, too.
Evolutionary Dead Ends
Unfortunately, hats and, to a larger extent fashion in general, are a great way to express yourself. In sometimes unintended ways.Sometimes all it can take to turn someone from looking vaguely respectable into a slovenly slacker is a quick twist of the hat in the “wrong” direction.Even better, wear a visor and really tell your future employers and/or neighbors how with it you are by sporting it upside down and then accessorize with some shorts so huge that they might as well be pants.
The Novelty Wears Thin…
Sometimes there are some funny hats out there where it’s supposed to look goofy, like the oversized novelty foam cowboy hats.Unfortunately, those were ruined when the guys that write for the Family Guy television show noticed them and had to include them in an episode. Now everyone thinks they’re hilarious, which means you’re going to see them in every bar and at every party because they’re so friggin’ WILD and ZANY!Come to think of it, Family Guy ruins a lot of things… but that’s a different post for a different blog, I think.
Those aren’t the only novelty hats, of course. When you allow people to get creative with hat shapes you inevitably end up going to ridiculous even for “silly time” hats.I think having your head shoved into a plush turkey hat would look tacky even during Mardi Gras or some late night Thanksgiving party.I can visualize someone trying one of these on and then eventually taking it off with a small measure of shame when he realizes he is the only one genuinely laughing at the joke.
Hats can seem like a pretty simple, unimportant little item. This is probably what makes them so interesting to me, because they can say a lot about a person. You really shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but we can really put a lot of effort into what our cover looks like.Sometimes people don’t put too much thought behind the kind of hats the wear, though. They might not wear them all the time, so they’ll toss one on only when they’re necessary.Like if it’s sunny outside.
Or I might be totally bonkers, but I don’t think so.When I’ve bought caps, the time I made the purchase it mattered what was on the cap, but I never thought much about it after that.Actually, I’ve received lots of free caps that I’ve worn without really thinking much about it.I walked around wearing baseball hats that had corporate logos just because I got them for free more than once.
Am I bonkers?Do you have hats that are a part of your sense of style, or do you really just wear them because they’re convenient and comfortable like I do?
